GWAR’s Oderus Urungus Sticks Up for As I Lay Dying Singer Tim Lambesis

Oderus Urungus is the antithesis of politically correct, and well, he's allowed to be, as the frontthing of GWAR. They're from Antarctica, so different rules apply. Nevertheless, he took to Twitter to address his rep as a hater of other acts like Rob Zombie and Megadeth and to say that he thinks As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis is being railroaded by authorities.

Lambesis is currently under house arrest after allegedly soliciting a hitman -- in actuality, an undercover cop -- to kill his estranged wife Meggan. He returns to court this September.

Oderus spewed some of his signature venom on Twitter saying that he is shocked that the metal community has turned its back on Lambesis or has rushed to judgment, forgetting that he is innocent until proven guilty.

While Oderus spits plenty of questionable and controversial statements and often does so in jest, he does seem to have some genuine sympathy for Lambesis and his current situation.
