GWAR front thing Oderus Urungus will soon be beaming his way into millions of homes everywhere as one of the cast members of FEARnet's new comedy series, 'Holliston.' Also featuring Twisted Sister icon Dee Snider, the show is about two recent college grads who are stuck in their hometown of Holliston, MA, struggling to become big-time horror filmmakers.

"This TV show thing kind of came out of nowhere," Urungus tells Noisecreep. "I had been doing a show on Fox News called 'Red Eye' as their official "Intergalactic Correspondent," but after our ritual disembowelment of Sarah Palin every night, I got canned from there. So my TV career was kind of in the toilet till Adam got involved with this 'Holliston' thing."

Noisecreep asked the GWAR leader how he initially hooked up with 'Holliston' co-creator Adam Green: "Actually, he's a longtime GWAR fan and we got introduced some years back. Anyway, every time I went out to Los Angeles to play a show with GWAR, he'd show up to the gig and tell me about this show that he was working on. Kelli [Mallela, Mallela, publicist at Metal Blade] had set me up with the show originally.

"But this went on for three years or so any time I was in L.A. Adam would take me out to some expensive meal out there and give me an update on the show's progress. I was really hopeful that the show would really happen since Adam has done some really cool stuff. He's not just some idiotic fan that had some stupid idea for a show. So the last time I was out there, he handed me a script and told me the show was happening. I'm really excited for everyone to see this thing," says an obviously excited Urungus.

Urungus loved the behind-the-scenes aspect of the 'Holliston' tapings: "I went out there and knocked out six episodes in like three days and then they carted me back to Antarctica. It was actually painless. Not to mention, it was filmed in L.A. and there were a ton of hot chicks working on the set. We shot the thing in the same studio where 'I Love Lucy' was made. You could actually feel the ghost of Desi Arnaz hanging out in there [laughs].

"Look, I've been waiting for an opportunity for something like this to finally present itself for years, so I was ready. That said I refused to learn the lines they sent me [laughs]. They eventually got me to do them, but they did let me to do my own takes where I babbled and made my own stuff up. They probably won't end up using any of that stuff, but at least it was fun doing it."

'Holliston' will premiere on Tuesday, April 3rd on FEARnet. Urungus will also guest on the The Dan Patrick Show on Monday, March 19. The show airs from 9:00AM from 12:00PM EST.
