We're in the midst of Warped Tour season and with nearly 100 acts taking the stage each day of the tour, there's bound to be some surprising collaborations taking place throughout the summer. This year, fans were treated to the unlikely pairing of GWAR's Beefcake the Mighty and post-hardcore vets Silverstein at the New Jersey stop on July 7.

Before Silverstein tore into the new single "Ghost" off their soon-to-be-released album, Dead Reflection, a familiar Scumdog made his way onstage. The kilt-wearing, spike-headed bassist appeared from stage left as frontman Shane Told informed the crowd "He's here to kill Bill." Charging bassist Billy Hamilton with a sword, Beefcake slit his throat and quipped, "I heard you're looking for a new bass player."

Throwing inhibition to the wind, Silverstein fired up their new song with Beefcake plucking away at the low end. Two of GWAR's Slave Pit crew members, clad in masks and loincloths, continued to beat on the fallen bass player with swords before making their way offstage.

It's been an exiting Warped Tour thus far for GWAR, who have been offering fans a glimpse at their new record, The Blood of Gods, performing the new track "F--k This Place" at each stop. It's the first new piece of original material from the group since the passing of frontman Dave Brockie (Oderus Urungus) in 2014.

Meanwhile, Silverstein will release Dead Reflection, their eighth studio album, on July 14 through Rise Records. Fans can pre-order the album here with plenty of bundle options available, including ones that offer skateboard decks, signed merch, limited vinyl and a lot more.
