Guns N' RosesThis weekend, Guns N' Roses will kick off a string of dates in Asia. This week, GN'R frontman Axl Rose allegedly punched someone in the head, on his way to catch a plane. According to TMZ, a paparazzo claims he has footage of Rose punching him in the head during a scuffle at Los Angeles International Airport Dec. 9. Rose was catching a plane to Taiwan.

The photographer claims that Rose arrived at the airport, woman in tow, and when paparazzi tried to snap photos of the couple, she got into a confrontation with the photogs. The accuser, who works for the National Photo Group, says Rose saw the woman scuffling with the paps and instantly started throwing punches.

Of course, there are two sides to every story. Levine Communications Office, the Los Angeles public-relations firm that represents Rose and the band, released a statement giving Axl's side of things.

"Axl Rose ... was unhurt last evening when he was accosted by an unruly group of paparazzi at Los Angeles International Airport," the statement says. "At the time of the incident, Mr. Rose was en-route to Taipei, Taiwan, to kick off Guns N' Roses' tour of Southeast Asia including shows in Taiwan, Korea and Japan. Mr. Rose, who was about to enter a security checkpoint at LAX when the altercation took place, was approached by a group of unchecked and unruly photographers who became aggressive with the singer and female members of the traveling group."

The statement continues that Rose "was not injured during the unprovoked attack and was able to board his flight without further incident." The rest of the band has been in Taiwan, doing rehearsals.
