Rumored to embark on a worldwide run starting in December, headline-grabbing rock legends Guns N' Roses -- featuring Axl Rose, Frank Ferrer, Tommy Stinson, Richard Fortus, Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal, Dizzy Reed, D.J. Ashba and Chris Pitman -- will bring their Chinese Democracy World Tour to Canada early next year.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba show on Jan. 13 is the first of 13 Canadian concerts on GNR's upcoming trek, which is set to begin in Southeast Asia on Dec. 11. With dates planned in Korea, Taiwan and Japan, the band has made reference to touring for "at least two years," but these Canadian shows are the first official dates announced so far.

The upcoming global run promotes the band's long-awaited 2008 release, 'Chinese Democracy,' which debuted at #1 in numerous countries including Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Finland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand and Taiwan, among many others. The album was certified platinum in many of those countries, as well as in the U.S.

Guns N' Roses last toured the world in 2006 and 2007, performing 60 concerts in 26 countries, playing to more than a million fans. The band is scheduled to begin rehearsals in Los Angeles, but no there is official word on whatever tour dates are in store at this time.
