One of the most exciting bands in the grindcore scene today is Gridlink. The band's greatness is no surprise when you look at a list of its members' previous bands. Discordance Axis, Human Remains, Phobia, and Burnt By the Sun are just a few of the legendary groups represented within Gridlink's ranks. The band's intoxicating mix of death metal, thrash, and Japanese-informed hardcore is admittedly not for everyone. However, if your tastes are on the eclectic and extreme side, you won't be let down.

Noisecreep is thrilled to premiere the title track from Gridlink's new album, 'Orphan,' out on March 29.

Listen to 'Orphan'

"I wanted my riffs to show the complicated mind, sadness, and hopeless anger of what the word 'orphan' means," said Gridlink guitarist Takafumi Matsubara. The song, like the rest of the album, is an incessant barrage of speedy riffs and vocal assaults courtesy of Jon Chang. His banshee wails and death grunts are infamous within grind collector circles from his previous work with Discordance Axis. Noisecreep expects 'Orphan' to make many year-end lists.

'Orphan' be released on March 29 on CD, digital, and on an LP with a re-mixed & re-mastered version of their first album, 2008's 'Amber Grey.'
