After a few successful releases on Rise Above Records, Sweden's Grand Magus have signed a worldwide deal with Roadrunner. The forthcoming album will be titled 'Hammer of the North,' and expects a release in spring 2010. Blabbermouth commented that this album has the band perfecting "its own style of full-on metal assault with fantastic heavy riffing and stomping songs, strong hook-lines, epic vocals/lyrics and rousing solo guitars."

In addition to the band's last full-length, 'Iron Will,' being lauded by Metal Hammer and Rock Hard magazines, Grand Magus has made a name for itself with its live performances, and look at their freshly inked record deal as "a great sign of recognition and most importantly a chance for us to really push ourselves and the music to the point of perfection."

The trio resides in Stockholm, and consists of 'JB' Christofferson for guitar/lead vocals, Fox Skinner providing bass/backing vocals and 'SEB' Sippola on drums. Their inclusion in the Roadrunner roster is anticipated as a perfect match by both parties and fans alike.
