Slayer Grammy nomineeDrumroll, please! The 52nd annual Grammy nominees have been announced, and the Best Metal Performance category contains absolutely no surprises -- except, perhaps, for the exclusions that we could argue until we're blue in the face about, so let's not even go there. What do each of the nominees have in common?

Every one of them has been nominated previously, so there are no shocking noms this year! And no, Metallica wasn't featured in the Metal category, which usually dwarves anyone else's chance of winning!

Without further ado, the nominees are:

-- 'Dissident Aggressor' -- Judas Priest, from 'A Touch of Evil Live'

-- 'Set to Fail' -- Lamb of God, from 'Wrath'

-- 'Head Crusher' -- Megadeth, from 'Endgame'

-- 'Senor Peligro' -- Ministry, from 'Adios ...'

-- 'Hate Worldwide' -- Slayer, from 'World Painted Blood'

In the sister Best Hard Rock Performance category, more familiar names were nominated, as well. The nominees are:

-- 'War Machine' -- AC/DC, from 'Black Ice'

-- 'Check My Brain' -- Alice in Chains, from 'Black Gives Way to Blue'

-- 'What I've Done' -- Linkin Park, from 'Road to Revolution: Live at Milton Keyes'

-- 'The Unforgiven III' -- Metallica, from 'Death Magnetic'

-- 'Burn it to the Ground' -- Nickelback, from Dark Horse'

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will be held on 'Grammy Sunday,' Jan. 31, 2010, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS from 8-11:30 PM ET.
