Godsmack’s Sully Erna Shows His Softer Side on Solo Album, Tours
Godsmack singer Sully Erna is enjoying a career trajectory similar to that of Staind's Aaron Lewis: both men front successful hard rock bands, but still find the time to express their softer sides as solo artists. Erna is currently preparing to hit the road to support his new solo album, 'Avalon,' this May. For this tour, Erna will perform with an eight-piece ensemble band.
"I'm very excited to bring 'Avalon' to the road," the singer said in a statement. "It's a trip down the rabbit hole into a world of beautiful scenery, world cultures, and amazing cinematic visuals that will leave you breathless at times."
Erna composed 'Avalon' over the course of two years, creating a hypnotic blend of tribal rhythms accompanied by melodic pianos and cellos. 'Avalon' also features the vocals of Lisa Guyer, as well as the hand percussion of Niall Gregory from renowned band Dead Can Dance.
Tour dates are below, with more dates yet to be announced. Erna will spend the latter part of summer ripping it up with Godsmack on the Rock Star Energy Mayhem Fest.
