If you're a drummer living on the West Coast that is looking to improve your hard rock skills, you may be interested to know that Godsmack's Shannon Larkin will be conducting a series of free drum clinics along the coast, starting in August.

Larkin's clinics are part of Yamaha's Live Clinic Tour program, who also endorse the Godsmack drummer and provide him with his custom 7-piece Oak kit. The tour kicks off on Aug. 14th at the West Sunset Boulevard Guitar Center in Hollywood, Calif. and will make five more stops up the coast until the final date on Aug. 20th at the Guitar Center on Westlake Avenue in Seattle. Even though Larkin is primarily known for his playing with Godsmack, his career as a musician stretches much further. He's held the beat for acts such as Black Sabbath, Snot, Candlebox, Ugly Kid Joe, and Stone Sour, and is known as much for his tasteful playing and quick right foot as he is for his forceful hard rock rhythms. As such, the clinics promise to offer a wide range of new skills that can be used beyond the hard rock realm. And in what could be considered the best part of all, every clinic is entirely free and open to the public. However, $20 will score you VIP front row tickets to the clinic, along with a bag filled with exclusive swag.
