Randy Rhoads, the beloved, late guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne who was killed in a plane crash in 1982 at the tender age of 25, will be memorialized with a custom guitar created by Gibson. The guitar manufacturer will craft a replica of the 1974 Les Paul Custom guitar that Rhoads shredded with on essential Ozzy albums like 'Blizzard of Ozz' and 'Diary of a Madman.'

Gibson has said that this particular guitar is one of their most requested reissues. That should come as no surprise, since Rhoads is revered as a legend for his skillful playing. However, there is no confirmed date for when the guitar will hit retails shelves.

Long live Randy Rhoads, a true guitar hero who is still missed, nearly 30 years after his death.
