Make like Chris Jericho and break out the list… your shopping list! Fozzy have just announced that their seventh studio album, Judas, will arrive on Oct. 13.

Fozzy have already experienced incredible success with the “Judas” single. The official music video has accumulated over 7 million views in just three months, and the song hit No. 1 on iTunes charts in eight countries. Vocalist Chris Jericho went to bat for the single, eventually convincing Century Media to release “Judas” as the new album’s flagship cut.

“There was a big argument at the record company and the band of what song should be the first single,” Jericho told us. “At first, ‘Judas’ was not even the first choice or the second choice. I had to go to bat for it and call the head of Century Media, Don Robertson, and say, ‘Don, this is the song,’ and Don agreed.”

After originally estimating a September release for Judas, Fozzy have now confirmed Oct. 13 as the day Judas will be unleashed:

Jericho has some big visions for Judas, calling it the band’s most “lean and stripped down” album to date. “If this was 1988, where there’s an album like Hysteria or Appetite for Destruction — that has four, five, six singles — this record has the potential for that,” Jericho says.

Chris Jericho just made a surprise return to WWE, but you can expect to see him on the road with Fozzy starting late September. Jericho will also be hosting the first ever Loudwire Music Awards ceremony and concert, which will invade The Novo on Oct. 24 in Los Angeles.

Black Sabbath icon Tony Iommi will be at the LMAs ceremony to accept the Courage Award, while legendary Judas Priest singer Rob Halford will be presented with the ‘Lemmy’ Lifetime Achievement Award. Halford is also amongst the first wave of performers announced for the awards show along with Halestorm, Body Count, Starset and Power Trip.
