Former Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss bassist Nick Oliveri was involved in an auto accident late Monday night, but there's good news as he's expected to be just fine.

Oliveri, who also fronts Mondo Generator, suffered what looks like a serious car accident, as can be seen in the posted photos below. The shots were taken and posted on the Mondo Generator Facebook page along with the following update:

We're sending many many well-wishes and hang in there's to Nick! He was involved in an auto accident late Monday night. He was shaken up, and you can probably see why if you look at the car, but it's nothing he won't recover from. Get well soon brother!

Oliveri had been playing in the rejuvenated Kyuss Lives! lineup until a legal issue over the name with former members Josh Homme and Scott Reeder erupted once the band decided to pursue recording a new album. The bassist, caught in the middle between allegiances to both sides, exited the group. He did appear earlier this year on the new Queens of the Stone Age album, '... Like Clockwork.'

After deciding to continue under the name Vista Chino, the band just announced that Corrosion of Conformity bassist Mike Dean will join them on their tour of Europe.
