Former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent [born Vincent Cusano] will not be appearing in court for his domestic abuse case today as scheduled. According to the Nashville Scene, the case has been temporarily retired as the musician has struck a deal with the state. The case will be retired for a year, and Vincent will have the chance to petition the court to dismiss the case and expunge it from their records if the guitarist engages in eight hours of anger management therapy. What a slap on the wrist.

However, prosecutors have the option of pursuing the case if Vincent fails to honor that obligation.

Vincent was scheduled to appear in criminal court to answer aggravated domestic assault charges from a May 21st incident in which Vincent allegedly smacked his wife in the face and dragged her around by her hair through a pile of broken glass at their home in Smyrna, Tenn. Ouch.

Police were called to the scene, where the remains of four dogs were uncovered. However, the couple did not face any animal cruelty charges, since the four deceased dogs were supposedly killed by another of their many canines.
