While KISS will not be performing at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, at least one of the members will be strapping on their instrument to play at the ceremony. Guitarist Ace Frehley has confirmed he will be part of the ceremony’s annual all-star jam that typically concludes the festivities.

Frehley tells Fuse, “Rage Against the Machine‘s guitarist, Tom [Morello], he called me up last weekend and asked if I’d be involved with the jam. I said, ‘Yeah, sure, I’d be more than happy to do it. Hand me a guitar, I’ll play.’ I’ve been doing it for long enough, right?”

KISS has faced some scrutiny for not performing at the Rock Hall induction, but the group was not happy with the idea that only the four original members were being inducted.

Frehley said of the decision, “It’s not just Tommy [Thayer] and Eric [Singer]. There was also Eric Carr, Vinnie Vincent, Mark St. John and Bruce Kulick — all good musicians and nice guys and I’m friends with most of them. But I think there’s a rule — 25 years. They may have bent the rules for some people, but they’re holding true for them when it comes to KISS … which isn’t a bad thing. The four original members and our body of work is what made KISS happen. They’re pretty much a parody of what we used to be. What are you gonna do?”

Despite all the recent public drama between past and current members of the band, it was reported that all living members of the band, both past and present, will share a table at the upcoming ceremony.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction will take place this Thursday (April 10) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. An edited version of the ceremony will air on HBO on May 31.
