Josh Eppard first appeared on the music scene with Coheed and Cambria. His inventive drum work helped propel the upstate New York progsters to worldwide acclaim. After three studio albums with the group, Eppard left the fold to focus on other musical pursuits including Weerd Science, his hip-hop solo rap alter ego.

Since then he's also become a member of Terrible Things, a rock act also featuring Fred Mascherino [ex-Taking Back Sunday, Breaking Pangaea] and Brian Weaver [ex-Silvertide]. The power trio is out on the Warped Tour supporting their 2010 self-titled debut album and Noisecreep caught up with Eppard for a quick chat. Unless you've been living under a rock, you already know that Coheed and Cambria bassist Michael Todd was fired from the group after he was arrested for robbing a pharmacy for prescription drugs on July 10, 2011 in Attleboro, Mass.

Noisecreep asked Eppard about his feelings on Coheed and Cambria and Todd's arrest.

"I'm so proud of Coheed and Cambria. Tons of kids on this tour come up to me a lot, they'll show me their Coheed tattoos and ask if I mind talking about them. I tell them no way - it's cool. They're friends of mine. I love those guys and the music we made. I'm still la fan. But I'll always feel bad about how I left. I was a drug addict and it was terrible."

Eppard then offered his thoughts on Todd, who is set to be arraigned on September 8 on charges of armed robbery after a July 10 incident at the Massachusetts Walgreens.

Shaking his head, Eppard said, "He and I were in touch, close touch. I literally talked to Mike an hour before he incident happened. That's why i was so shocked. I did not expect it. I walked around all night that night and could not wrap my head around it. He's still my friend, I feel terrible, but he needs help and i hope he gets it. I've been there, it's very hard."
