Germany's Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festivals have been two of the top European rock gatherings for decades and you can bet there's something special in store for the 30th anniversary of Rock Am Ring and the 20th anniversary of Rock Im Park. Organizers have just announced the first batch of bands that will play both festivals, with Foo Fighters, Slipknot and German punk legends Die Toten Hosen scheduled to headline the music weekend.

Foo Fighters will be promoting their 'Sonic Highways' album, while Slipknot will take the stage in support of '.5: The Gray Chapter.' As for Die Toten Hosen, the German punk outfit has been rocking since the '80s and they'll bring a wealth of bombastic favorites to the stage as they continue to support 2012's 'Ballast der Republik.'

The 2015 Rock Am Ring in Mendig and Rock Im Park in Nurnberg will each take place June 5-7 and early indications are that this will be one rocking music weekend. The initial lineup of artists also includes Motorhead, Lamb of God, In Flames, Papa Roach, Asking Alexandria, Rise Against, Parkway Drive, Skindred, Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls, Donots, Trailer Park, Callejon, Turbostaat, Beatsteaks, Kraftklub and Broilers.
