Flashback: Immortal’s Abbath Hams It Up on ‘Reality Check TV’ [Watch]

Immortal have been the center of a wealth of Internet Photoshopping jokes over the last few years, with fans cropping their hilarious promo shots into the least black metal settings. While it is thought that Immortal would like to maintain their “kvlt” and “grim” image, mainman Abbath doesn’t take himself too seriously either!

In these outtakes from a 2002 episode of ‘Reality Check TV,’ Abbath is interviewed between clips of Immortal’s live footage. The frontman is a complete goofball, giving terse answers to questions that often end with Abbath cracking himself up. He comments on corpsepaint and the church burnings in the early second wave of black metal among other things.
