Today Five Finger Death Punch releases 'American Capitalist,' the band's 3rd studio album and the follow up to 2009's Gold selling 'War Is the Answer.' Produced by Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne), the record will most likely premiere in the top 10 of the Billboard Album Charts, another success for a band few people people counted on when they first emerged in 2005.

Featuring veteran musicians from bands like UPO and Motograter, Five Finger Death Punch appeared on the metal scene with very little fanfare, but their debut album, 2007's 'The Way of the Fist,' sold well over 500,000 copies, stunning many music industry insiders.

Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory recently visited Noisecreep's West Coast offices for a chat about the group. One of the topics discussed was their partying public persona. We asked him if it was all just publicist-spun hyperbole or true. "I could answer that question a million different ways. In the very beginning of the band, we had an unwritten agreement that there would be no quote "rock stars" in this band. We didn't want anyone in the group to ever be like, "Hey bro, do you know who I am?" or anything like that. We don't stand for that in this band," said Bathory.

"Our fans are family and we'll sign anything they want us to and we always take time to hang with them. You always try and stay humble like that. But at the same time, you start getting successful and nice things come your way. It's like, "Didn't we all dream for these cool things to happen?" If I could drive a Ferrari, why wouldn't I? Weren't we all kids dreaming that one day we would become rock stars? We imagined chicks everywhere, fast cars and that whole lifestyle. And yes, a lot of those things came true for us," the guitarist revealed.

Noisecreep asked Bathory how he's managed to stay grounded amidst Five Finger Death Punch's fame. "Success hasn't been an overnight thing for us. It hasn't taken five years for it to happen. It's been more like 25 years. We've played our instruments for decades, trying to get somewhere. So now that 5FDP has made it, f--- yeah I'm going to buy that cool car! And yes, sometimes things get excessive, but we're doing fine."

These days Bathory just wants to keep putting money back into 5FDP. "What really excites me these days is making what the band does bigger. I mean our live shows. I want to put on a bigger show. Can we make our pyro bigger? Those kinds of things will give people a better experience when they come see us. We owe it to them."

Five Finger Death Punch's 'American Capitalist' is out today via Prospect Park.
