Wind-Up Records

Filter just released their latest album, 'The Sun Comes Out Tonight,' and they want to take it to as many fans as possible. Going directly to the source, Filter has launched a new Indiegogo campaign to help offset the costs from their world tour through an incentive-laden fundraiser.

Beginning today, fans can visit the Indiegogo campaign site where they can bid on any number of Filter VIP incentives that will help keep the band on tour, playing their new album for the masses. The incentive tiers range from the minimal $10 digital download of 'The Sun Comes Out Tonight' album to the high end $3,500 VIP package that includes a Filter signed guitar, VIP backstage access, and a combo pack that includes drum heads, a gold vinyl record and a t-shirt.

Other interesting offers available to fans include the chance to have coffee with frontman Richard Patrick when he comes to a venue near you, a Skype session with the full band, the opportunity to create your own set list for the group to play and joining Patrick's postcard club (which entails receiving hand-written postcards from the frontman every month for the rest of the year). You can see all of the incentive options by visiting the Indiegogo campaign website.

In total, the band hopes to raise $40,000 and all funds will be put toward their world tour costs. Patrick says of the campaign, "After laying down an ear recipe that is sure to piss off a few neighbors on our new record 'The Sun Comes Out Tonight,' we realized it was necessary that we tour the world and break a few more strings with all of you. This is something we've dreamt about from the very beginning, but to fulfill this dream we are going to need your help. Over the last couple of months we have observed the success that this method has produced for several bands and artists alike. It's an unusual method, but it's a new method and it seems this is a way for us to connect with you, our fans, on a much more personal level. We like that."
