VH1 has announced the premiere of the fifth season of the distinguished 'That Metal Show,' the one destination where fans can enjoy informed (and humorous) discussions about the genre we all love and live for.

The show's hosts – New York City radio personality Eddie Trunk and comedians/consummate metal fans Don Jamieson, and Jim Florentine-will kick off the fifth season May 8 at 11 PM ET on VH1 Classic, and the season will feature an array of impressive guests, including Slayer, Rob Halford and Lemmy Kilmister. 'That Metal Show' is a 30-minute round-table talk show where rock legends hang out, shamelessly (and not so shamelessly) self-promote, all the while interacting with the metal fans that make up the studio audience.

"The fifth season of 'That Metal Show' has the best lineup by far," Florentine, known for his antics and the verbal war he wages with telemarketers, told Noisecreep. "Lemmy, Zakk, Halford, Zombie, Slayer, Dokken, Alice Cooper, Steven Adler. I can't wait to see these shows and I was there!"

Jamieson, one of our favorite comedians, concurred, telling Noisecreep that "season five of 'That Metal Show' takes things, as Pantera once said, to a new level. Filmed in Los Angeles, Eddie, Jim and myself sit down with metal legends such as Alice Cooper, Lemmy Kilmister and for the second time in studio, Rob Halford. The audiences were brilliant. The guests were brilliant. And this year, 'That Metal Show' will get more in-depth with the artists, introduce new segments, and of course, keep people laughing." That's the beauty and brilliance of this show: it combines metal with laughs and is hosted by true metal fans.

The fifth season boasts a major improvement in that the interview segments are supersized. They are double the length of previous seasons which means Eddie, Don and Jim investigate a wider array of topics with their subjects. The show has also added new segments, including 'The Video Vault' and 'Word of the Metal God,' as well as the return of viewer faves like 'Stump the Trunk' and 'Whatever Happened To.' The show's most popular feature is easily 'The Throwdown,' the heated weekly debate that spawns many post-show arguments among fans!

Guests appearing on the fifth season of "That Metal Show" include:

• May 8th – Lemmy Kilmister

• May 15th – Zakk Wylde

• May 22nd – Rob Halford

• June 5th – Steven Adler & Chip Z'Nuff

• June 12th – Alice Cooper
