Bruno Mars will be headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show this year, but GWAR's name has already been thrown into the hat for 2015, with a Change.org petition recently being started to get the band on one of the biggest stages. That got us to wondering which hard rock and metal acts would have the potential to headline the Super Bowl halftime and which you would actually want to see. That's the subject of this Readers Poll.

We've known for years that Metallica can bring it live, and with their 'Metallica Through the Never' 3D film they've likely reached even more fans. Add in a potential new album and the timing could be perfect. Speaking of showcasing talents in other mediums, Green Day could definitely be a potential favorite with their theatrical branching out of 'American Idiot.'

There are veteran acts like AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Guns N' Roses and Van Halen that have the catalog and remain a big draw when it comes to the concert world. And when it comes to live shows with interesting production elements to go along with the music, Motley Crue and Iron Maiden would have to make the cut. We'll also add in Foo Fighters as a commercially viable option. Plus Prince received praise a few years back when covering a Foo Fighters song at his own Super Bowl appearance, so the groundwork has been laid.

So now it's your turn to tell us which of these hard rock and metal acts you would most like to see provide the entertainment for the NFL Super Bowl Halftime show. Vote in the Readers Poll below:
