On Sept. 12, 2008, Metallica unveiled their ninth studio album, 'Death Magnetic,' which went on to be viewed as a creative rebound for the group and a revival of their thrash metal roots. This Readers Poll revisits the 'Death Magnetic' album and asks you to vote for your favorite track off of the disc.

'Death Magnetic' was a key disc in many ways, as it didn't feature any of Kirk Hammett's familiar guitar solos, introduced the playing of bassist Robert Trujillo into the fold and once again ramped up the group's career. 'The Day That Never Comes' was the first commercial success, arriving at radio and declaring with presence that the band was back. 'My Apocalypse' and 'Cyanide' also took their turns at the radio airwaves as well, with the latter topping the Active Rock chart.

'All Nightmare Long' gave the band another Top 10 single, while 'Broken, Beat & Scarred' rounded out the single releases. 'Death Magnetic' also featured the inclusion of 'The Unforgiven III,' keeping fans satiated with the song series. Add in 'That Was Just Your Life,' 'The End of the Line' and the instrumental piece 'Suicide & Redemption,' and 'Death Magnetic' turned into one of the most well-received releases from the band in some time.

Given the depth of this disc, we don't envy your task. But check out the track listing and vote for your favorite Metallica 'Death Magnetic' song in the Readers Poll below:
