On Nov. 22, 1976, the world welcomed future Finnish frontman Ville Valo of the band HIM and his deep voice would go on to lead the band's "love metal" movement. With an impressive catalog and devoted fanbase, HIM have gone on to become beloved and embraced worldwide. This Readers Poll reflects on HIM's career and asks you which of their songs is your favorite.

The band debuted on the scene in 1997 with the 'Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666' disc, which yielded 'When Love and Death Embrace,' 'Your Sweet Six Six Six' and their cover of Chris Isaak's 'Wicked Game.' 1999's breakout 'Razorblade Romance' album provided fans with 'Join Me in Death,' 'Right Here in My Arms,' 'Poison Girl' and 'Gone With the Sin.'

In 2001,' 'Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights' gave us 'Pretending,' 'In Joy and Sorrow' and 'Heartache Every Moment and Close to the Flame.' The band issued their 'Love Metal' disc in 2003, yielding 'The Funeral of Hearts,' 'Buried Alive By Love' and 'The Sacrament.' Their 2004 greatest hits record yielded two more favorites -- 'Solitary Man' and 'Love Said No.'

Starting the next era of their career, HIM's 'Dark Light' offered 'Wings of a Butterfly' and 'Killing Loneliness.' The 'Uneasy Listening, Vol. 1' compilation gave us 'In Joy and Sorrow,' and 2007's 'Venus Doom' provided 'The Kiss of Dawn.' We finish out our tracks with 'Heartkiller' from the 'Screamworks' disc and 'Tears on Tape' and 'Into the Night' from their current 'Tears on Tape' album.
