Florida's Fallen From the Sky are taking the music business into their own hands by releasing free digital music. The bundles include tracks from their sessions with producer Shaun Lopez, the guitarist from Far who has worked behind the board with the Deftones, as well. The first installment of the free bundle series will include the song 'Rebuilder' and an acoustic version of 'Wolves' produced and tracked by Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional. Fallen From the Sky have friends in high places, it appears!

The single bundles will feature a bonus music video for the titled single as well as b-side tracks that will be a mix of cover songs, new material and acoustic songs recorded by the band themselves in their own FFTS HQ studio. Hey, you can't beat free!

"When you do something for the right reasons people gravitate towards it. If we were in this for the money, we would have been done a long time ago," FFTS drummer Giancarlo "Jim" Aservi said about why the band is choosing to issue material for free and thus revealing their generous mindset. "After creating such amazing music with Shaun during such a transitional time for the music industry, releasing these songs for free just seemed like the right thing to do. There's a ton of people out there who have stood by us over the years, and this is for all for them."

FFTS have been booking their own shoes, designing and printing their own merch and touring on their own before Facebook and Twitter were part of the cultural lexicon. Nearly a decade later, they are still as DIY as it gets, recording and mixing their own music as well as creating the artwork and music videos, too. More power to 'em.
