Roadrunner Records' Still Remains broke up in 2008, but some of the former members have been hard at work writing new music under the name Anthem Alone. "Basically, [Still Remains' drummer] Bone and I have been jamming since SR ended," guitarist Jordan Whelan told Noisecreep, "We are anxious to get back out there as far as touring goes. We have two new permanent members -- Nick Scott on lead guitar (who has been accepted to the University of California at Berkley for music, and who has been playing with the Muskegon symphony) and Ken Polidan on bass."

The Grand Rapids, Mich. band is complete, except for a crucial piece: the vocalist, a position which the band has been having issues filling. Whelan said, "We have been searching for a vocalist with no luck so far, and this has resulted in us conducting a contest of sorts for the position! Call it 'American Idol' style if you will!"

Those interested in auditioning can download an instrumental track from the band's Myspace blog and record their talents over the adept metallic chaos. "This is a great opportunity for fans the world over to show us their talent," Whelan said. "We basically figure, why just look locally when we can use the world to search? We miss the road and are looking to seriously take this project full-time again."
