Things are about to get bloody electric in 2011. British doomsters and heirs apparent to Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard will release a dastardly new album, 'Black Masses,' on Jan. 18 via Rise Above Records. It is the band's seventh studio album overall, and it's their first since 2007's 'Witchcult Today.' Get read to be crushed by 10,000 watts of doom once the calendar turns.

'Black Masses' has been described as an ugly, sleazy and dirty album steeped in unruly themes of '70s exploitation cinema, occultism, substance abuse and narco-Satanism. Hey, sign us up, as those are the true hallmarks of our favorite kinds of heavy metal. Vocalist Jus Oborn even said in a statement that "we do not rock, we kill."
