Welcome back, Eighteen Visions! The Orange County rockers shut it down in 2007, but have decided to resume their career this year in a slightly scaled down version of the band and they'll be releasing a new album next month. In advance of the XVIII disc, Eighteen Visions have just unleashed another new track titled "The Disease, the Decline and Wasted Time."

Singer James Hart told Kerrang!, who premiered the track, “'The Disease, the Decline and Wasted Time' was the first song we wrote for [new album] XVIII. It’s heavy and aggressive nature definitely help set the tone for the rest of the album."

"Heavy and aggressive" only begins to sell it, as Keith Barney's guitar work really leads the way. Early on he rides a groove for all that its worth, opening the song with a sludgy but forceful vibe, one that only becomes more crushing once Hart's vocals come in. By the time the chorus arrives, the guitars and Trevor Friedrich's drum work become a chugging, driving force.

"The Disease, the Decline and Wasted Time" follows on the heels of the lead single "Oath" as well as the album's opening track "Crucified" which debuted right here at Loudwire earlier this month. All three songs appear on XVIII, which will be released June 2 via Rise Records. Pre-orders are currently being taken here.
