Eat the Gun Dish Out Massive Riffs on ‘My Retribution’ — Song Premiere

With a band name like Eat the Gun, you better be able to bring the goods. One listen to 'Runner,' the upcoming album from the German power trio, and it's clear that they have the skills to pay the bills. Formed back in 2002, Eat the Gun have previously released two full length albums and one EP to critical acclaim throughout Europe. The group's brawny take on hard rock finds them in the same kind of stylistic headspace as greats like AC/DC and vintage KISS.

'Runner' will be released on August 30th and it's the first time any of Eat the Gun's music will be available in the US. Noisecreep has partnered with the German rockers to bring you the American premiere of 'My Retribution,' one of the album's blistering tracks.

Eat the Gun vocalist-guitarist Hendrik Ücüncü told Noisecreep about the inspiration behind 'My Retribution':

"The song represents the essence of our music perfectly. The song is based around a heavy kick a-- metal riff mixed with a very melodic and classic feeling arrangement. I like the lyrics because they deal with a topic I think everyone can somehow identify with. The song's about the idea of ignoring all social pressures and constrictions in order to find out who you really are. We've played it live a couple of times now and people reacted amazingly to it. It's a damn good headbanger!"

Eat the Gun's 'Runner' will be out in the US on August 30th via Metalville Records.
