Earth Crisis are the vegan straightedge scene's loudest mouthpiece, and the band is about to emit another bloodletting roar with their seventh album, 'Neutralize the Threat.' Century Media will issue the band's latest slab of moshy, message-driven hardcore on July 12th. Judging by the band's comments about the record, it's everything we've come to expect and admire about ExCx.

"We are very happy with how 'Neutralize The Threat' came out," the band said in an official statement. "Musically, it resembles the song structures on 'To The Death', but with a 'Gomorrah's Season Ends' vibe thrown in." Fans of the band's extensive catalog will certainly be thrilled to hear that assessment of the music, especially since 'Gomorrah's Season Ends' is considered a vital early benchmark of metalcore.

"Every song is lyrically inspired by real-life vigilante actions that have taken place around the globe," the band also said. "The topics range from The Black Panther Party to Bernard Goetz, and we think it's an original lyrical concept for the band, while also retaining some subject matter we are known for dealing with in the past."

Earth Crisis have always addressed politically charged and socially relevant topics in their music, and we're glad the band has not strayed from the path even two decades into their career.
