Metal Musician Slapped With Child Porn Charges

Martin Evanick, the drummer and vocalist for Midwestern death metal band The Core of Your Nightmares, has been slapped with federal child pornography charges.

The Illinois-based band has taken bold and visible steps to distance itself from the skinsman, vowing to change its name and make music sans Evanick behind the kit or among the ranks.

Evanick, 31, who performs under the stage name "Vlad" and often wears creepy clown face paint, is currently held without bail. He is believed to be a flight risk.

Prosecutors for the Southern District of Illinois are accusing this cretin of having sex with a female minor and taking close up photos of her genitalia. Apparently, according to the video news report posted below, the authorities suspect that this is not an isolated incident.

Evanick faces between 15 and 30 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and a supervised release between five years and life.

His now-former bandmates took to Facebook to confirm that they do not share his perversions nor do they sympathize with his plight.

Their post read as follows: "We had no involvement or knowledge about these acts, and we in no way condone in such actions. What happened to him is unfortunate, but he brought it on himself."

The band members also stated that they had no idea that Evanick was a pervert, taking care to point out that they do not support his behavior. "We DO NOT condone in any of the actions Vlad partook and we are appalled by his behavior. [He] never exhibited any kind of behavior that would make us suspect he would do what he did."
