With their self-titled album set for a Sept. 24 release, Dream Theater are offering a preview of one of the songs from their newest record. 'Along for the Ride' is currently streaming at Grammy.com.

The song is a ballad, slowly building as the track progresses. For Dream Theater it's a relatively short song, clocking in at 4:45. It has some proggy moments and a cool keyboard solo, but it's fairly straightforward and has mass appeal.

When it comes to live shows, DT fans in North America will have to wait a few months. The band is kicking off a European tour in January, with a North American tour expected to follow in March.

However, you will be able to see the band performing on the big screen before that. Their concert film 'Live at Luna Park' will be shown in select theaters worldwide beginning Sept. 19. You can go here to find out if it's playing near you.

The nearly three-hour concert was filmed over two nights in Buenos Aires, Argentina during the final leg of Dream Theater’s ‘A Dramatic Turn of Events’ world tour. It will be released on DVD, Blu-Ray, CD and deluxe edition packages that include a book on Nov. 5.
