Now that Joey Belladonna is back in Anthrax, we have no idea who turbo-power metallers DragonForce could possibly hire to replace ZP Theart, who recently left the band 'due to insurmountable differences of musical opinion.' Apparently, DragonForce don't know yet either, which might explain why they're releasing the live double CD 'Twilight Dementia' on Sept. 14.

The set was co-produced by Karl Groom along with guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman and features 13 tracks recorded across 19 U.K. shows. "For years, fans have been asking us to record a live album, but honestly, we never really had the time due to our worldwide touring commitments and studio album recording," Li said. "However, due to the overwhelmingly positive feedback from fans on the 'Ultra Beatdown' World Tour, we decided to finally put some real thought into it."

To create 'Twilight Dementia,' DragonForce recorded every show from the last leg of the 'Ultra Beatdown' tour and then picked the best takes of each song. "[We wanted to do it] without needing to do any overdubs in the studio, keeping the whole thing live, like all the classic live metal albums," Li said "These recordings really capture the raw sonic energy of a DragonForce show in fine detail. It is so real that you can hear the noise of the crowd and experience the show as it was that night -- you can even hear the guitar pedals being stepped on."
