When Disturbed debuted their first single, they asked fans "Are You Ready," later giving them "A Reason to Fight" with the second single, a power ballad, and now they're telling you "The Best Ones Lie" with their latest song to be released off their forthcoming album, Evolution.

"The Best Ones Lie" comes off as a topographical track angled at the current climate of news media. David Draiman relays feelings of fear and paranoia, singing, "God damn, maybe I am a little terrified / You know I really don't know what to believe / We watch the world die while they keep telling us there's nothing to fear / So now its crippling me." Musically, the new song is a bruiser built on muted chugging riffs and restrained, punchy drumming.

"If I died after this record came out and this was the end of our legacy, I'd be okay with that. To me, this is our 'Black Album,'" Draiman told Metal Hammer about Disturbed's new record. "We've always used [the 'Black Album'] as a goal — the record that literally every single track on it could be a hit. A record that breaks doors down, that opens up new opportunities to us, that helps you achieve true immortality as an artist."
