"We are all very excited about this album!" gushes Dirty Penny lead singer Binge Daniels of the new release 'Young & Reckless.' "We have found our own sound mixing old Dirty Penny with new."

Of course, 'old' is relative, especially when considering Dirty Penny. The Santa Cruz, Calif. modern glam outfit is comprised of four twenty-somethings. The band released 'Take It Sleezy' in 2007 and spent the better part of two years playing gigs and partying.

Often compared to Mötley Crüe and Guns n' Roses, the guys in Dirty Penny say 'Young & Reckless' is more about finding their own unique sound and less about influences. As with 'Take It Sleezy,' the band tapped Johnny Lima to produce.

"The whole band sat in our practice space and wrote about 15 songs. We would bring them to our producer and he would approve them. This album was more of Dirty Penny writing the songs and less Johnny Lima," continues Daniels.

A D.I.Y. band by nature, the guys in Dirty Penny hope 'Young & Reckless' helps them gain more exposure in the ever-crowded music landscape. Expect at least three singles from this sophomore effort.

Dirty Penny will soon release the video for 'If I Were You I'd Hate Me, Too.'
