Devil You Know have made good without the services of drummer John Sankey for a majority of 2016 and it looks as though the band has decided to make more of a permanent move concerning their drummer position, announcing that they've parted ways with Sankey.

In a brief posting on the band's social media, they explained, "We have decided to part ways with drummer John Sankey and will be back on the road this fall. We are NOT taking any unsolicited drummer audition videos. Big news in the coming weeks!!!"

Sankey was with the band at their inception in 2012 and appeared on their 2014 album The Beauty of Destruction as well as the 2015 follow-up They Bleed Red.

Earlier this year, Sankey revealed that he was sitting out the band's U.S. tour to focus on his commitments he had in Australia as the ambassador and co-founder of the Legion Music Fest, which was on track to take place in January of 2017. Initially, he reached out to good friend John Boecklin, formerly of Devildriver, to sit in on their first tour leg. He concluded his statement saying he expected to be back on tour with Devil You Know in May and June, but the band ended up doing those shows with former Trivium drummer Nick Augusto handling drumming duties.

At the time of the Augusto announcement, guitarist Francesco Artusato expressed his excitement over the drummer's addition, while Augusto stated he was honored to be asked and added, "I feel like my style will add another piece to the already growing expansion of their big, heavy and catchy sound."

Could Augusto be sticking around or does Devil You Know already have another drummer ready to go and are just waiting for the right time to make the announcement? Stay tuned. At present, Devil You Know have no dates on their tour schedule, but as their statement revealed, they expect to be back on tour in the fall.
