Dee Snider is a trooper.

The towering Twisted Sister frontman proved that he could take an insult last night (Jan. 24) at the 2nd Annual Revolver and Guitar World Rock & Roll Roast in Anaheim, Calif.

Snider was the guest of (dis)honor and was verbally assaulted by a panel that included Zakk Wylde, Scott Ian (Anthrax), Lita Ford, Eddie Trunk, Shane Snider, actor Mark Metcalf (Animal House) and comedy and roast veterans Jim Norton, Craig Gass and Jim Florentine.

Hosted by roastmaster Penn Jillette, the event was a mix of live comedy and hilarious video tributes from the likes of Alice Cooper, Sebastian Bach, and Donald Trump, among others. The night benefited MusicCares.

Noisecreep was on hand for the event (see some photos at our new Instagram account under the username Noisecreep) and had a front row view of the festivities.

Our favorite roaster of the night was definitely comedian Craig Gass. "Somewhere in America, there's a county fair with an empty stage," said the comedian, looking at the rest of the dais. Although he went to town on Snider, Gass ended his segment with a touching story about the first time he met the Twisted Sister singer at a Washington state club some 15 years ago.

Lita Ford took a lot of crap from the roasters with many crude references to her '80s sex habits. The former guitarist from The Runaways took it all in stride and came back with her own barbed wire one-liners.

Jillette did a fine job of running the dais and had some of the night's most brutal verbal jabs. Looking square at Zakk Wylde, the host said, "This is the guy who replaced the guy who replaced the dead guy in Ozzy Osbourne's band. He is heavy metal's finest reenactor." The crowd lapped up every minute of it.

Jose Mangin -- SiriusXM ambassador of all things heavy metal -- was the night's DJ and warmed up the crowd of industry players and celebrities with a nice mix of old and new school tunes.

Noisecreep was honored to be in attendance last night and only hopes that the folks at Revolver and Guitar World keep the Rock & Roll Roast going for years to come.
