Decapitated Involved in ‘Serious Van Accident’

Nuclear Blast

It’s hard to believe that the members of Decapitated weren’t seriously injured in this van accident, but luckily, the death metallers are okay.

This van crash must have been especially terrifying for guitarist Waclaw ‘Vogg’ Kieltyka, who is the only member still in the band following Decapitated’s tragic 2007 tour bus accident, which left vocalist Adrian ‘Covan’ Kowanek in a coma and killed drummer Witold ‘Vitek’ Kiektyka, who was Vogg’s younger brother. Covan is reportedly unable to communicate and requires 24-hour care to this day.

On Oct. 25, Decapitated posted two photos of their latest crash. One shows the front end of their van completely destroyed, while the second photo depicts band members being attended to by EMTs and the New Orleans Fire Department:

As stated by the band, Decapitated will continue touring to support their 2014 album, ‘Blood Mantra,’ with GWAR and American Sharks. The tour marks GWAR’s first without Dave Brockie (Oderus Urungus), who passed away earlier this year. For the full list of tour dates, click below:
