Post-metal heroes Daughters are back with their first new song in eight years, “Satan in the Wait.” Furthermore, the band has signed with Ipecac Recordings and will unleash a new album in 2018.

Daughters called it quits in 2009, right before releasing their highly acclaimed self-titled album in 2010, which demonstrated a massive stylistic shift away from grind. The boys have played a handful of shows since reforming in 2013, including opening for the Dillinger Escape Plan on their last performance ever.

“Satan in the Wait” brings Daughters into even weirder territory, delivering seven minutes of audio terror that marches forward with slow, heaving steps. “Pleased to bring all you lovely people: ‘Satan in the Wait.’ The first new Daughters song in just more than eight years is an indication, of sorts,” says vocalist Alexis Marshall.

Daughters will reveal their new album, You Won't Get What You Want, on Oct. 26. The band will also embark on a tour this winter, so check out those dates below.
