Dark Tranquility

Having just wrapped up a tour supporting Killswitch Engage and the Devil Wears Prada, Swedish metal sorcerers Dark Tranquillity are wasting no time getting those U.S. work visas ready and processed again. The band will return for a headlining run of North America with Threat Signal and Mutiny Within riding sidecar. The band has promised that the set list will be the longest career-spanning one yet.

Vocalist Mikael Stanne told Noisecreep, "We just completed a very lengthy North American tour with our good buddies in Killswitch Engage, which was a blast. However, it's always a great feeling to headline your own show and perform a set that will leave people in awe. We are pulling out all the stops with this trek unleashing the ultimate Dark Tranquillity experience."

And just how will DT, who specialize in melodic death metal, pull off that feat? "We promise that we will definitely deliver more than your money's worth with over an hour set with a full-on visual experience to accompany it," Stanne said. "We are so proud of our new album, 'We Are the Void,' and are stoked to see it met with great reactions. Look for a lot of songs from that album as well, and we look forward to partying hard with all our fans. See you all soon."

The band has been rehearsing like mad, peppering the set list with a good collection of new and more-classic material, with guitarist Niklas working on creating artwork and animation that, as Stanne said in a statement, "will add a new dimension to the show." Dark Tranquillity are aiming for the biggest production they've ever done in the States.
