Danzig have a special performance in store for Riot Fest concertgoers on Sept. 16 and they should have knocked off any rust by the time they hit the stage in Chicago. That's because Glenn Danzig and his crew have booked a short run of shows with Corrosion of Conformity leading up to Riot Fest.

The run begins Sept. 7 in Hampton Beach, N.H., and includes stops in Philadelphia, Montclair, N.J., Huntington, N.Y., Lewiston, Ky., Cleveland and Detroit. As stated, Danzig will complete their touring run with a performance at the 2017 Riot Fest on Sept. 16 in Chicago. At the show, the band is expected to revisit their Danzig III: How the Gods Kill album in its entirety.

Riot Fest has become known for having some of the artists on the bill revisiting some of their classic albums and this year is no different, with Danzig joining the likes of Dinosaur Jr., Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Fishbone and more in playing full discs for fans in attendance.

Danzig just released their Black Laden Crown album earlier this year, and fans at the shows with Corrosion of Conformity are more likely to hear some of the newer material mixed in with older favorites. As for Corrosion of Conformity, the band is currently working on new music. No official release date or album details have been announced as of yet.
