Chino Moreno's cross(es) to bear in life is the fact that he likes to be in a lot of bands. Besides his main project the Deftones, the singer also does time in Palms, featuring former members of Isis, and ††† (Crosses), a quirky electronic side project that's unlike either of his other bands. We're pleased to report that indie metal powerhouse Sumerian Records has added ††† (Crosses), which features Moreno and Far guitarist and producer Shaun Lopez in its ranks, to its roster of bands.

So the Moreno and Lopez project will coexist on the same label as Dillinger Escape Plan and Asking Alexandria, which is a testament to Sumerian's depth and breadth as a music company.

As for ††† (Crosses)? Well, if you are not familiar, the band crafts artsy, freeform music that hangs out so far out in left field that it hovers dangerously close to the warning track. The band will release music in this winter, a fact revealed in the trippy video (seen above) announcing their partnership.

††† (Crosses) also released an EP in 2011 and again in 2012. We're intrigued and can't wait for new material.
