Corrosion of Conformity’s Reed Mullin Thinks New Album With Pepper Keenan Is Gonna Happen

Corrosion of Conformity are in the midst of a U.K. tour, their first full tour with vocalist/guitarist Pepper Keenan since 2006. It marks the first time in almost 15 years the classic Deliverance lineup of Keenan, vocalist/bassist Mike Dean, guitarist Woody Weatherman and drummer Reed Mullin have played together.

At their Nottingham stop earlier this week, Dean and Mullin chatted with Metal Gods TV (watch the entire interview above). As far as the setlist for the tour, Dean says, “It’s the Deliverance revival tour. So it has a storefront church type of vibe to it, so we’re kind of evangelizing some of that old heavy rock and roll that we did.” Mullin adds, “Yeah, that is true. Pepper is singing those Deliverance songs. It’s been killer.”

When it comes to the possibility of recording a new album with Keenan, Mullin says, “I think it’s gonna happen. I think it’ll come to fruition. This was kind of like the testing ground to see how folks reacted, and right off the bat, everybody has been super stoked, super positive. So I can’t imagine anything but us gearing up to do an album and more touring and stuff.”

U.S. fans will have a chance to see Corrosion of Conformity when they embark on a tour with Cavalera Conspiracy, Death Angel and Lody Kong that kicks off April 10 in El Paso, Texas.
