North Carolina doom rock legends Corrosion of Conformity are currently working on their new album, the follow-up to 2012's self-titled release on Candlelight and the Scion AV 'Megalodon' EP. The record is as-yet untitled but the band is clearly putting its nose to the metal grindstone, as these videos indicate.

The power trio, comprised of vocalist/bassist Mike Dean, guitarist Woodroe Weatherman and drummer Reed Mullin, offered a keyhole view of their process, in simple, stark black and white tones. It'll leave you wanting to see, hear and know more.

In the video above, we hear the band talking and jamming, and discussing how to formulate their ideas while tracking. But the visuals are simply of guitars, amps, headstocks and a stage, all of which are tools of the CoC trade.

There's another video, also in black and white, featuring the band jamming out in the studio room. Check out the slow motion headbanging. Righteous! It's viewable below.
