Los Angeles will play host to the Rock to Recovery 2 benefit, which this year will be paying homage to Slipknot / Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor and MC5 great Wayne Kramer.

Former Korn guitarist Wesley Geer founded Rock to Recovery in 2012, giving non-musicians access to the healing powers of playing music while advancing the use of music expression groups in various treatment settings. The Rock to Recovery program has participants forming a band or writing music together as a therapeutic outlet for patients recovering from PTSD, alcoholism, drug addiction, depression and cancer treatments by stimulating the brain.

In addition to the two honorees, there will be a star-studded lineup playing the Sept. 16 benefit at Los Angeles' Fonda Theater. The all-star outfit Kings of Chaos, led by Matt Sorum and Robert DeLeo, will get a chance to play with both Taylor and Kramer. Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens, Apocalyptica vocalist Franky Perez and surprise guest musicians from Korn, Sevendust, Snot, D.I., Death on Wednesday, Kill Radio and Kut U Up will take the stage as well.

Ticketing information can be found via the Fonda Theatre website or via AXS.com. For more information on the event, head to the Rock to Recovery website and catch the new sizzle reel posted below.
