Memorial services for Lemmy Kilmister were held over the weekend, with a cast of rock and metal's elite from around the world venturing to Los Angeles to celebrate the Motorhead frontman's legacy. Supergroup Metal Allegiance played a show at the Whiskey A Go Go in West Hollywood, Calif. after the memorial service and brought up some special guests from Slipknot, Sepultura, Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee and more to help pay tribute to the fallen rocker.

Already consisting of a powerhouse lineup in Mike Portnoy, Alex Skolnick and David Ellefson, Metal Allegiance has seen a wealth of musicians join in on the fun at other shows. With a bursting pool of talent present at the services, it was no surprise to see other rockers onstage Saturday night (Jan. 9). Slipknot's Corey Taylor fronted the band while former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo led the charge behind the kit as the band tore through a frenetic cover of "Ace of Spades" (video above) in tribute to Lemmy. Taylor's bark fits the song perfectly and Sepultura's Andreas Kisser adds a dual guitar attack to thicken the sound.

At one point Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee took the stage (video below), grabbed the mic and addressed the crowd, “I don't wanna break up the party, but let's have a 15 seconds quiet for Lemmy, starting now.” Bowing his head, the room was completely silent and still as everyone took the opportunity to quietly remember the rock 'n' roll icon in their own thoughts. After the 15 seconds were up, Dee said, "You're all fantastic, thank you!" Met with applause from the crowd, he exclaimed, "Let's continue the motherf--ckin' party!"

Lemmy passed away four days after his 70th birthday on Dec. 28 after succumbing to terminal brain and neck cancer he learned about just two days earlier. His death was met with an outpouring of gratitude and stories from fans and musicians the world over as his life and career has received the ultimate celebration over the last two weeks. Thanks to loyal fan support, "Ace of Spades" entered the Billboard charts for the first time since its release in 1980.
