Earlier this summer, Norwegian progressive-metal greats Circus Maximus released Nine, their third studio album. Already amassing a cult fanbase through their prior studio outings -- 2005's The 1st Chapter and 2007's Isolate -- the new record should introduce the quintet to a wider audience since the band has emerged with a stronger emphasis on the melodic side of their sound.

"Two huge elements in the new material are first and foremost the evolution of the songwriting and the accessibility of the music," says Circus Maximus bassist Glen Møllen of Nine. Luckily for them, lead singer Glen Eriksen possesses the powerful pipes to deliver the group's soaring choruses.

Since he's such a killer frontman, Noisecreep asked Eriksen for a list of his five favorite rock singers. A couple he listed might surprise a few of our readers!
