Soundgarden's Chris Cornell and his wife Vicky started their charitable organization late last year with the idea of raising funds to help protect vulnerable children facing homelessness, poverty or neglect and abuse. And while most of their philanthropic work has been private and anonymous, they've opened up a fundraising auction allowing the fans a chance to get involved in the good will.

The Cornells, like several other celebrities, have launched their own site via LuminaryLane.com where they are placing items on the auction block. At present, the big ticket item on the block is Chris' own custom-made Harley Davidson FXR motorcycle. Cornell has kept it in top condition for years and it should be noted that Soundgarden's 'Badmotorfinger' logo is painted on the gas tank. The motorcycle package also includes a meet-and-greet and tickets to a show near you in the future. It's currently on the block at $35,000.

The next price tier down will allow fans to bid on an ebony colored Les Paul Special II guitar that's been signed by all of the members of Soundgarden in gold ink. The stylish looking guitar is currently going for $3,000. Cornell is also offering such items as meet-and-greet opportunities on the band's international tour dates ($850), a Chris Cornell signed art poster from his solo 'Songbook' tour ($200), an autographed set list from Soundgarden's 'King Animal' tour ($125), a signed Chris Cornell guitar pick ($35) and a Chris Cornell fan badge ($1).

The vocalist has also offered fans the option of creating their own dream experience and pitching it to him. If he likes your suggestion, he may add it to the proposed incentives being offered at the price you recommend.
