Finnish metallers Children of Bodom are on their way back with new music and they've unveiled several of the key details about the forthcoming disc. The album will be titled I Worship Chaos and it's on schedule for an Oct. 2 street date via Nuclear Blast Records.

The group also unveiled the striking artwork for the disc done by Finnish artist Tuomas Korpi, featuring the grim reaper trolling a stripped bare forest under the harsh yellow light coming from an eclipse. Check out the artwork featured in this post.

Vocalist-guitarist Alexi Laiho says, “We are close to putting the finishing touches on the new COB record I Worship Chaos and as much fun (but most importantly raw, literally bloody knuckled hard work) it has been making it, I’m more than happy and even more anxious to share this chaos with the rest of the world. So people, put your shades and helmets on, it will get very dark and it might hurt, in a perfect COB fashion of course!"

The band recorded the disc at Finland's Danger Johnny Studios with Mikko Karmila serving as producer on the effort. Karmila has a long history with the band, previously working on Halo of Blood, Hatebreeder, Follow the Reaper and Hate Crew Deathroll.

The full track listing for the album can be seen below. Look for Children of Bodom hitting the road in support of I Worship Chaos beginning later this month. The band recently announced that Antti Wirman of Warmen and No Mans Land will be joining the group on guitar for their upcoming tour. Wirman is the brother of Children of Bodom's Janne Wirman. The band recently parted ways with guitarist Roope Latvala.
