Chester Bennington-Led Stone Temple Pilots Announce 2013 Fall Tour

StoneTemplePilots.com

As summer fades and fall begins, the Chester Bennington-led Stone Temple Pilots will be hitting the road. The group just announced a primarily September run that will include support from longtime pals Filter.

This will be the first extended touring for the band with Bennington as their frontman. They made their live debut at the 2013 KROQ Weenie Roast in Irvine, Calif. back in May. They’ve since performed at the 2013 MAP Fund benefit honoring Bennington and at a Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. However, most of their time of late has been spent in the studio as they look to add to their output.

The trek launches Sept. 4 in Bethlehem, Pa. with the tour running through Sept. 27 in Las Vegas. They also have a Nov. 1 performance scheduled in Biloxi, Miss. As stated, Filter will provide support on a majority of the shows. Tickets go on sale this Friday (July 19) via the band’s website. For VIP packages, check this location.

At present, the new single ‘Out of Time’ is hovering around the top of Active Rock chart and the band has been dabbling in some more new music in the studio. “We’re very ambitious about the future of making music,” says STP’s Robert DeLeo. “The process and intention of creating it is so much more gratifying.” He went on to add, “We’ve been writing new material and visiting songs from our early albums. It all feels new again and we’re excited to get out and play a solid set of songs both old and new.”

Stone Temple Pilots have taken control of their future music and will release their upcoming EP via their own label in association with ADA.
